We invite you to “An Evening in Old Kraków at Dąbrowski’s” (Krakoski wieczór u Dąbrowskiego) — an extraordinary dinner at Kuryer Restaurant, inspired by the world of Ilustrowany Kuryer Codzienny, one of Poland’s most influential pre-war newspapers, founded in Kraków by Marian Dąbrowski.

The IKC covered major political and cultural events, but also everyday affairs, happenings around the city, visits by distinguished guests and lavish feasts that became part of Kraków’s social chronicles. Because a city’s history is not simply a collection of dates and names. It is also about places, flavours, conversations and the people gathered around a table.

On this special evening, the table itself will become our chronicle.

Executive Chef Dariusz Paździera has created an original menu in which Polish ingredients, familiar flavours and culinary memories meet contemporary interpretations.

Each dish opens a new chapter in a story about Kraków’s bustling markets, visitors arriving from distant places, everyday life, grand banquets and flavours deeply rooted in Polish culinary traditions.

We will begin the evening with a glass of traditional fruit punch, as befits an occasion destined to be remembered.

Then, the culinary story will unfold: from rye bread with brown butter, horseradish and sturgeon roe, through salmon trout and flavours inspired by the Polish pantry, to zander, beef with goose liver and a dessert that brings back memories of homemade sweet treats.

Every dish will have a story to tell, and every story a flavour worth discovering.
